Gladbach risk losing several key players if they don't qualify for the Champions League
Gladbach could lose a number of important players if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
After an impressive first half of the season, Borussia Mönchengladbach have struggled recently. 'Die Fohlen' have dropped to fourth place and are now just three points ahead of fifth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt.

As it looks now, Gladbach would still qualify for the Champions League - and head coach Dieter Hecking knows just how vital qualification for the prestigious tournament would be for the club's hopes of holding on to their key players.
"I hope that we manage to keep all the key players, but that will not be easy if they're confronted with supposedly better offers. I think that international qualification would give us a bigger chance," Hecking told Sport Bild.
Sport Bild estimates that Thorgan Hazard, who's under contract until 2020, is almost certain to leave if 'Die Fohlen' fail to achieve Champions League qualification.
In that case, it's also likely to be difficult for Gladbach to hold on to the likes of Denis Zakaria and Matthias Ginter. The two Gladbach stars have both been linked with clubs from the English Premier League in particular.
