Stuttgart to keep loan duo?
Could VfB Stuttgart keep loan players Steven Zuber and Alexander Esswein beyond this season?
Steven Zuber and Alexander Esswein have made quite an impact since they joined VfB Stuttgart on loan in January, and the Swabian club want to keep the duo beyond the summer, according to Bild.

The German news outlet understands that Stuttgart hold an option to sign Esswein for just €1 million from Hertha who aren't planning with him.
However, as for Zuber, Stuttgart weren't able to include a purchase option in the loan deal with Hoffenheim.
If the 27-year-old can join Stuttgart on a permanent deal thus depends on the plans of the successor for Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann who will join RB Leipzig after the season.
Zuber has scored four goals and made one assist in eight Bundesliga games for Stuttgart so far. Esswein has made eight appearances for the Swabian club and hasn't scored or many any assists until now.
