The Croatian international twisted his knee during last week's 3-2 win over Hoffenheim and subsequently went to Belgrade for specialist treatment. And at this point, it seems unlikely that he'll be ready for the game in Milan.
"I have little hope. It doesn't look very good," Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hübner told SID after Monday's 3-0 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Goncalo Paciencia replaced Rebic in Düsseldorf and had a very good game as he scored and made an assist.
"He played very well - and not just because of his goal. Fortunately, we have a lot of good strikers to rely on," Hübner said.
The first game between Frankfurt and Inter ended 0-0.
