Here's how the Bayern München team reacted to the disappointing 1-3 defeat to Liverpool at Allianz Arena.

"First of all, I have to congratulate Jürgen Klopp. We faced a very strong opponent. Overall, Liverpool were the better team in both games. They did well to cope with us and attacked very high up the pitch. We didn't manage to find free space and set up Robert Lewandowski. We didn't have our best day and showed our limits."
Mats Hummels (centre-back):
"It was a dyspnoeic game until the 2-1 goal. Both teams were careful. The 2-1 goal was a blow for us. Before that, everything was very tight, but Liverpool were clearly the better team afterwards. Jürgen Klopp can take the opponent's strength out of the game. That was clear again today."
Hasan Salihamidzic (sporting director):
"We almost never managed to create pressure on them. The spark never jumped from the pitch to the spectators. You also have to compliment Liverpool. They were the better team. Tactically, Liverpool were very good, and they also showed that they had a physical advantage. We never managed to dominate."
Manuel Neuer (goalkeeper and captain):
"It's not an undeserved victory. We had too little power and too few big chances to score. The result is all right, even if it hurts. We were motivated, and everybody had fire in their eyes. The 1-1 goal gave us a lift and helped us. But the goal we conceded after a set piece was bitter."
