Hudson-Odoi remains Bayern's first priority, and Pépé is considered a very good alternative to the Chelsea youngster.
According to Kicker, Bayern scout Laurent Busser was in the stands for Lille's 1-1 draw with Strasbourg on February 22 to take a look at Pépé.
Pépé contract with Lille runs until 2022. Club president Gerard Lopez doesn't want to rule out that the winger could be on the move in the summer - but he won't be cheap.
"It's up to the player if he wants to stay. He deserves to play at the highest level. We have offers, also from England. We have rejected offers of more than €50 million. We have also rejected an offer from China of more than €80 million with a lucrative salary, because he said no," Gerard Lopez recently told Canal Plus.
Pépé, 23, has made 31 appearances this season with 18 goals and 11 assists to his name.
