Gulacsi: Champions League football means everything

RB Leipzig keeper Peter Gulacsi has underlined just how important it is for him to play in the Champions League again in the future.
Peter Gulacsi played in the Champions League for the first time with RB Leipzig last season.

And speaking to Sport Bild, the goalkeeper explains that qualifying for the tournament again is a decisive factor when he considers his future.

"I've told my agent that I just want to focus on qualifying for the Champions League with RB Leipzig. If we do so, there is no reason to think about a future elsewhere," he explained.

When asked to elaborate just how much the Champions League means to him, Gulacsi said:

"Everything! It starts with the journey. The cities, the final training in the big stadiums, the anthem before the game. To be part of this Tuesday/Wednesday rhythm is overwhelming. It's our biggest motivation to be there again."

The 28-year-old's contract with RB Leipzig runs until 2022.
