Bayer Leverkusen boss Rudi Völler has made it clear that Kai Havertz will stay this summer.

Havertz has been linked with a number of European top clubs, including Bayern München, but Völler underlines the 19-year-old will definitely be playing for Leverkusen next season as well - no matter if 'Die Werkself' qualify for Europe or not.

"Kai will stay - no matter where we end up this season. Preferably, we'll climb a bit up the table, but we can still hold on to him even if we don't achieve our goals," Völler said, according to Rheinische Post.

The German international recently commented on Bayern's reported interest himself.

"There's a lot of speculation, but I still have a contract here until 2022. We'll know more in the summer," Havertz told Eurosport.

According to Sport Bild, Bayern have set sights on signing the youngster in 2020 and are ready to pay €75 million for him, but Leverkusen want at least €100 million.
