Naldo: The fall of HSV should be a warning example for Schalke
Schalke 04 should be careful not to end up like Hamburger SV, says Naldo.

But following a terrible start to the 2018/19 season for Schalke, the Brazilian veteran fell down the pecking order at Veltins-Arena and eventually ended up leaving Gelsenkirchen as he moved to Monaco in January.
Since then, Schalke's struggles have continued, and - much to his displeasure - Naldo has seen his former club getting involved in the battle to avoid relegation.
According to the 36-year-old, Schalke should now be careful not to end up like Hamburger SV who got relegated for the first time in the club's history last season.
"Schalke are in my heart and always will be. That's why it hurts that the club are fighting to avoid relegation. That Schalke are just 14th is a big disappointment - for the fans, the club and the players. The development is dangerous. HSV's fall should be a warning example for Schalke," Naldo told Sport Bild and added:
"It didn't work for us from the beginning, and we immediately got caught up in this whirlpool which nobody expected after we were runners-up last year. Although we obviously knew that it would be difficult to end up in second place again."
Schalke are sitting 14th in the table with six games left to play this season - five points clear of 16th-placed VfB Stuttgart in the relegation play-off spot.
