What does the future hold for Mats Hummels?
Mats Hummels could leave Bayern München for a move abroad in the summer.
A move abroad could potentially be on the cards for Mats Hummels in the summer when Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez arrive to increase competition for places in defence at Bayern München, Sport1 understands.

Apparently, Hummels is currently waiting for a talk with the Bayern bosses about how they see his future at the club. It's not out of the question that the club would allow both him and Jerome Boateng to leave in the summer.
Hummels and his family feel well in Munich, and his relationship with Bayern coach Niko Kovac is understood to have developed positively recently.
But, obviously, a stay must also make sense from a sporting perspective which is why much depends on his future conversation with the Bayern bosses.
According to Sport1, clubs from the English Premier League, the Spanish La Liga as well as Juventus (Italy) and Paris Saint-Germain (France) would all be interesting destinations for the experienced defender. A return to Dortmund is said to be out of the question.
Hummels' deal with Bayern runs until 2021. The centre-back has made 27 appearances for the Bavarians this season.
