Schalke boss criticizes 'disappointing' performance against Nürnberg
Schalke 04 boss Jochen Schneider admits he was disappointed with his team's performance against Nürnberg.
Schalke head of sport Jochen Schneider was disappointed with his team's performance in Friday's 1-1 draw against FC Nürnberg.
Following defeats against Werder Bremen and Eintracht Frankfurt, Matija Nastasic salvaged a draw for 'The Royal Blues' with a late goal in Nürnberg to end Schalke's losing streak.
But, even so, the fans made it very clear that they weren't satisfied with the performance. And Schneider feels their reaction is understandable.
"There's no need to beat around the bush. It was a disappointing performance. We imagined something else," Schneider told WAZ and added:
"The matches against Werder and Eintracht Frankfurt were significantly better. You could see a reaction from the fans who had a good feeling.
"Last week, they applauded the team after the game. In Nürnberg, it was different, because the team simply didn't do enough."
Schalke are sitting 14th ahead of the remaining games of Matchday 29.
