Timo Werner has indicated that he doesn't want to sign a new contract with RB Leipzig, says club boss Oliver Mintzlaff.

That means the German international is likely to leave this summer. Werner's contract is due to run out in 2020, but Mintzlaff has previously underlined that the German international will be sold this summer if he turns down an extension.

"We've made it clear that we want him to sign an extension. But he has signaled to us that he would rather not extend his deal," Mintzlaff told Sky.

When asked about Mintzlaff's statement, RB Leipzig sporting director and head coach Ralf Rangnick claimed Werner hasn't made a decision on his future as far as he knows.

"I don't know anything about a new development. It doesn't matter to me. I'm only interested in Timo's form curve, and it's clearly pointing upward," he told reporters after RB Leipzig's 2-0 win over VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Timo Werner has been linked with Bayern München, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund among others.
