Max Kruse may be extra motivated to show himself from his best side When Werder Bremen face Bayern München in their two upcoming fixtures - in the Bundesliga on Saturday and in the DFB-Pokal semi-final next Wednesday.

According to Deichstube, Tottenham will be taking a close look at how the 31-year-old performs in the two games against the German champions as the Premier League club are interested in snapping him up for free in the summer.

The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season. Werder want their captain to sign a new deal, but the club's sporting director, Frank Baumann, is aware that Kruse wants to explore his options before making a decision.

"Max would like to wait and see if an absolute top club from a top league come in for him," he recently said.

According to Deichstube, Kruse has also attracted interest from Crystal Palace while Sky has linked him with a move to Inter.

Kruse has scored 11 goals and made 14 assists in 32 appearances for Werder this season.
