Official: Hertha to part company with Pal Dardai at the end of the season

Pal Dardai will leave his position as Hertha BSC coach at the end of the season.
Hertha BSC will part company with head coach Pal Dardai this summer, the club have announced.

After an in-depth analysis of Hertha's current situation, the parties have mutually decided that Dardai will leave his position at the end of the season.

"These were very intense and eventful years for me as head coach of Hertha BSC, and I'm grateful for the opportunity I got here and very proud of what we have achieved together during this time," Dardai said, as quoted by the club.

"But the time has come for a change, and I have always emphasized that I want the best for Hertha BSC, because Hertha is and always will be my home," he added.

Hertha BSC sporting director Michael Preetz said:

"Four and a half years of very good and constructive cooperation is a very long time in professional business. But we have now come to the conclusion that a new impulse in the summer is the right step for Hertha BSC."

"Pal is an important part of the positive development of our club and will continue to be a big factor in the Hertha family beyond his time as head coach of the professional team."

Dardai has worked as the coach of Hertha BSC since February 2015.
