Pizarro yet to make a decision on his future
Claudio Pizarro says it's still unclear what the future holds for him.
Werder Bremen veteran Claudio Pizarro is out of contract this summer, and it's still uncertain if he'll continue playing - and if he'll stay at Werder in that case.
"I don't know yet. We'll see. We'll make a decision at the end of the season," the 40-year-old told reporters in the wake of Saturday's 0-1 defeat to Bayern München.
Werder sporting director Frank Baumann says he's still willing to give Pizarro time to consider his decision.
"We said we would sit down together in April, but there will maybe not be a direct decision. First of all, it's about whether Claudio wants to continue playing at all," he said.
Baumann has previously underlined that he can't guarantee that the club will offer Claudio Pizarro a new contract if the veteran decides to continue his career.
Pizarro has been offered to take a job at his former club Bayern München when his career is over.
The Peruvian striker has scored five goals in 26 appearances for Werder this season.
