Bundesliga team of the week – Matchday 30 (4-1-3-2):

Goalkeeper: Jiri Pavlenka, Werder Bremen (4)
Pavlenka did all he could to keep a clean sheet against Bayern München with a number of great saves. He was eventually beaten by Niklas Süle's finish, which took a heavy deflection, but certainly deserves a spot in our team of the week, nevertheless.

Right-back: Jonathan Schmid, Augsburg (3)
Set up two goals and generally contributed a lot to the offense as Augsburg thrashed Stuttgart 6-0.

Centre-back: Niklas Süle, Bayern München (2)
Hit his teammates with 97 percent of his passes, won 71 percent of his duels and scored the winner as Bayern München beat Werder Bremen 1-0.

Centre-back: John Anthony Brooks, VfL Wolfsburg (2)
The American centre-back was rock solid at the back against Eintracht Frankfurt and salvaged Wolfsburg a well-deserved point with a late goal in the 1-1 draw.

Left-back: Marcel Halstenberg, RB Leipzig
The left-back scored both RB Leipzig's goals in the 2-1 win over Gladbach at Borussia-Park.

Central midfielder: Julian Brandt, Bayer Leverkusen (3)
The German international was the most prominent offensive player in Bayer Leverkusen's 2-0 win over Nürnberg. Set up Lucas Alario's opener and also had a foot in the second goal.

Right midfielder: Karim Onisiwo, Mainz (2)
Continued his great form with a goal and an assist in Mainz's 3-1 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Offensive midfielder: Marco Reus, Borussia Dortmund (5)
Played a decisive role for Borussia Dortmund as so many other times before this season. Scored once and provided two assists in his side's 4-0 win over Freiburg.

Left midfielder: Philipp Max, Augsburg (2)
Impressed as a left midfielder as he netted twice and couldn't be contained by Stuttgart at all.

Striker: Ishak Belfodil, Hoffenheim (4)
The in-form striker netted twice and also made an assist in Hoffenheim's 5-2 win over Schalke 04. Belfodil has now scored seven goals in his last four games.

Striker: Jean-Philippe Mateta, Mainz (2)
Just as predicted in our Fantasy Bundesliga article prior to Matchday 30, Jean-Philippe Mateta had a great game against Fortuna Düsseldorf. The tall striker made it 1-0 at the beginning and later made it 3-1 to kill the game off.
