Mateo Klimowicz joins VfB Stuttgart from Instituto AC Córdoba.
VfB Stuttgart have confirmed the signing of Mateo Klimowicz from Argentine second division club Instituto AC Córdoba.
Stuttgart sporting director Thomas Hitzlspeger is pleased with the signing of the 18-year-old who has agreed to a five-year contract.
"We're happy about the commitment of Mateo as the first newcomer for the upcoming season. In spite of interest from numerous other interested parties, he decided for us. This underlines that VfB is a very good address for young, talented players," Hitzlsperger said, as quoted by the club.
Mateo Klimowicz said:
"The switch to VfB is a dream come true for me. I'm excited about my new club and the new season."
Stuttgart pay a reported transfer fee of around €1.5 million for the offensive starlet who has scored seven goals in 35 appearances for Instituto AC Córdoba.
