Ribery: Seven top clubs wanted to sign me
Franck Ribery has reflected upon a time in his career when seven top clubs wanted to sign him from Bayern München.
Back in 2007, Franck Ribery left Olympique Marseille to join Bayern München - and he has played for the Bavarians ever since.

However, in an interview with Sport Bild, the 36-year-old recalls a time when he was seriously in doubt whether he should stay or go.
"It all happened from 2009 to 2010. Bayern didn't want to let me go under any circumstances. Do you know what Uli Hoeness (Bayern München's president) said to me? 'Barcelona have Messi, Real Madrid have Ronaldo, as we have you'," said Ribery who will leave Bayern München when his contract runs out in the summer.
"It was crazy back then! Seven top clubs wanted to sign me. Juventus, Inter, AC Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United all asked about me. There were a lot of thoughts in my head. It wasn't an easy time.
"I really didn't know if I should stay or go. In hindsight, however, I must say very clearly that it was one of the best decisions of my life to stay at Bayern," Ribery said.
Ribery has made 423 appearances for Bayern München with 123 goals and 182 assists to his name.
