Denis Zakaria downplays Borussia Dortmund links

Borussia Mönchengladbach's Denis Zakaria has commented on Borussia Dortmund's rumored interest in him.
Denis Zakaria has made it clear that he wants to stay at Borussia Mönchengladbach following rumors that Borussia Dortmund are interested in acquiring his services.

According to Fussballtransfers, Zakaria's agent had a talk with representatives from Dortmund during last week. But the 22-year-old doesn't seem interested in a move to Signal Iduna Park at the moment.

"These are just rumors. I'm in Gladbach and want to stay. Sure, you never know what can happen in football, but I feel comfortable in Gladbach. I'm looking forward to the new season and to playing under our new coach," Zakaria told Kicker.

Zakaria completed a €12 million move to Gladbach from Swiss side Young Boys in 2017. The central midfielder scored four goals and made one assist in 32 games for 'Die Fohlen' during the 2018/19 campaign.
