Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz has been praised by the outgoing Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Dieter Hecking.

The 54-year-old feels Havertz is currently the most promising German youngster.

"He will be the next German top star," Hecking said in an interview with Kicker and added:

"He has an easiness and a footballing ingenuity that I have rarely seen in this form".

Hecking, who will be replaced by Marco Rose as Gladbach coach this summer, also commented on his current job situation.

The 54-year-old is eager to take over another job straight away, but he hasn't found a new employer yet.

"I'm fit, I'm motivated, I'm fired up," he told Kicker.
