Werder Bremen have announced the signing of Marco Friedl who joins the club from Bayern München.

The 21-year-old, who has played for Werder on loan from Bayern München since January 2018, has now put pen to paper on a permanent deal with the Green-Whites.

"We're very satisfied with Marco's development and signaled early on that we would like to continue working with him. The talks with both Marco and Bayern München were very pleasant. Therefore, we are pleased that we have succeeded in tying Marco down to a long-term deal," said Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann, as quoted by the club.

The young defender has made 18 appearances for Werder.
