Fortuna Düsseldorf boss Lutz Pfannenstiel claims the club haven't agreed to sell Benito Raman to Schalke 04 - or any other club.
According to a recent report from Express.de, Fortuna Düsseldorf have reached an agreement with Schalke 04 over Benito Raman.
But Fortuna sporting director Lutz Pfanntenstiel now claims a deal hasn't been reached and says the club hold to be able to hold on to the winger.
"There's no agreement with Schalke or any other club. Our declared goal is to keep the successful team from last season together. Benito Raman has a contract with us until 2022 and plays a crucial role in our sporting future," Pfannenstiel told DPA.
Raman himself has set his sights on leaving Fortuna, however.
"I've always given everything for Fortuna, and now I'd like to take the next step at another club. I think it would be fair if the club would let me go now," he recently told Bild.
The 24-year-old scored 11 goals and made five assists in 32 games during the 2018/19 season.
