Alphonso Davies not scared of competition

Alphonso Davies says he isn't scared of competition from Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry - and potentially Leroy Sané.
Bayern München starlet Alphonso Davies is unfazed by the competition that he would face from Leroy Sané if the Manchester City winger ends up joining the Bavarians.

"The bosses see something in Leroy, and they see something in me. That's why they bought me, and that's why they might buy him. I want to develop here. If Leroy should come to us, I can learn a lot from him. He's a top winger for his club and his country," the 18-year-old told Bild and added:

"The young generation is very good here. Kingsley Coman, Serge [Gnabry] and I are all young and hungry to play, and I'm sure everyone gets a chance to flourish and shine at this club."

Davies, who joined Bayern München from Canadian side Vancouver Whitecaps in January, has made six appearances for the first team and has also appeared for the reserves since his arrival. And he's happy with how things have gone until now.

"They want that I develop, get to play and get used to the league. It's hard to come from Canada as a teenager and play for one of the best clubs in the world. They really give me time, and their plan has been very good so far," he said.
