Official: Wolfsburg announce third summer signing

Paulo Otavio has become Wolfsburg's third summer signing.
VfL Wolfsburg have announced the signing of Paulo Otavio from relegated 2. Bundesliga outfit Ingolstadt.

The left-back has signed a contract until 2023 and becomes Wolfsburg's third summer arrival following the signings of Kevin Mbabu and Joao Victor.

"Paulo is a player with a lot of speed who puts in a shift and has plenty of other qualities besides, the like of which we need on the left side of defence," Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schäfer said, as quoted by the club.

"He has steadily developed over the past three years at Linz and Ingolstadt, and has everything he needs to take the next step in his career with us. He will also be a very good fit in the team in terms of his personality," he added.

Paulo Otavio, 24, made 29 appearances for Ingolstadt during the 2018/19 campaign, making two assists.
