Schalke 04 midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has attracted suitors from abroad, Bild reports.
According the the German news outlet, clubs from England and France have shown interest in the central midfielder who should cost an amount in the double-digit million range.
Schalke are expected to offload Bentaleb this summer. Not only is the 24-year-old among the top earners at the club with an annual salary of €5 million – he has also caused a lot of internal trouble and was demoted to the U23s on two occassions during the 2018/19 season because of disciplinary problems.
At the moment, Bentaleb is sidelined after undergoing surgery on his groin, but Schalke 04 head of sport Jochen Schenider says he's expected back soon.
"The surgery was coordinated with us and needed because of persistent pain. He should be able to train again in the middile of July," Schneider told Bild.
Schalke paid €19 million to sign Bentaleb from Tottenham in 2017.
