BVB boss: Reus will remain captain despite the signing of Hummels

Mats Hummels will not take over the role as BVB captain from Marco Reus, says Michael Zorc.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has made it clear that Marco Reus will remain captain of the club despite the imminent signing of Mats Hummels from Bayern München.

Hummels was the captain of BVB when he left the club to join Bayern in 2016, but he will not take over the responsibility from Reus after his return.

"Marco Reus is our captain, and he was our most vital player last season for me. There's no reason to chance anything," Zorc told Kicker.

Reus was named captain before the start of the 2018/19 season.
