Werder Bremen to sign Marko Grujic on loan?

Werder Bremen are understood to have a good chance of signing Liverpool's Marko Grujic on loan.
Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic has been linked with a number of clubs after impressing on loan at Hertha BSC last season.

'The Reds' are said to be planning on sending the 23-year-old out on loan again, and Werder Bremen currently look like a potential destination for him, according to Deichstube.

The German news outlet, which follows Werder closely, claims that Werder are 'well-positioned in the race' for Grujic, with a decision on his future expected to be taken next week.

Hertha would have liked to keep Grujic for another season, but have recently signed a similar type of player in Eduard Löwen from FC Nürnberg – possibly after realizing that it wouldn't be possible to keep Grujic for another season.

Reports have linked Grujic with a permanent move to Atlético Madrid, but just like Hertha, the Spanish capital club have just signed a different player for the central midfield – Marcos Llorente – who has arrived from local rivals Real Madrid.
