VfL Wolfsburg's Yunus Malli has underlined that he intends to stay at Volkswagen Arena under new coach Oliver Glasner.

"At the end of the season, the responsible at the club signaled that they are planning with me," Malli told Sportbuzzer.

Malli played no significant role under Bruno Labbadia last season and often had to settle for the bench. And the offensive midfielder admits that he would probably have looked for a new club if the 53-year-old was still there.

"In that case, I would have had to take a look around. You fit with some coaches and with others, you don't. Every coach has his own philosophy and player types that he prefers. I wasn't really a part of it. You don't have to be mad. That's just the way it is, you have to accept that. I tried to make the best of it," Malli said.

So far, Malli has been in the line-up for both of Wolfsburg's friendlies under Glasner.
