New position for Paulinho?

Bayer Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz has been testing out Paulinho in a different position recently.
Paulinho is still waiting for his breakthrough at BayArena after joining Leverkusen for €18,5 million from Vasco da Gama last summer.

The 19-year-old is a natural winger, but Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz is currently trying him out in a more central position as he searches for the best way to utilize the youngster's abilities.

"Paulinho is an interesting player for me. He's a good player. And I'm always trying to find out how to fit players into our system in the best possible way. You saw that last year with Julian Brandt who was used in a more central position. And that's what you see now with Paulinho," Bosz told Kicker and added:

"You can see that he can also play well in a central midfield role - especially offensively."

Paulinho scored one goal in 21 appearances for Leverkusen in his first season in Germany.
