Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer is expecting 'plenty of changes' to happen under the club's new coach, Marco Rose.
Rose has joined the club along with a handful of new signings, and Sommer is excited about the changes that the newcomers will bring to the team.
"When someone new comes, or three-four new players come, everything changes. Everone has they own style and character. There will be plenty of changes on the pitch," Sommer said in an interview with Sport1 and added:
"It's very exciting for us as a team, because it widens our horizons once again. We're excited about that."
The fact that Sommer is excited about Marco Rose's ideas and philosophy doesn't mean that he didn't like playing under the now former Gladbach coach Dieter Hecking.
"I don't compare coaches with each other, because it doesn't make sense. Now we have a coach who is a bit younger who does a good job. Before, we had a coach who was a bit older, and he also did well. They are both very likeable in their own way. We haven't worked under Marco Rose for long. We'll now see what he demands from us. I'm very curious," Sommer said.
So far, Gladbach have signed Max Grün (Darmstadt), Breel Embolo (Schalke 04) and Stefan Lainer (Red Bull Salzburg) this summer.
