According to Reus' agent, Kai Psotta, clubs like Barcelona, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Manchester United and Manchester City wanted to sign the 30-year-old in the past. But he ultimately decided that he didn't want to leave Dortmund.
"Of course I thought about the offers from these top clubs for more than one day, anything else would be a lie. But in the end, I have always decided for my club, and I don't regret that for a second," Reus said in a GQ column and added:
"Because I belong here. Borussia Dortmund is my club. And I definitely want to win the German championship with this club. I want to win the DFB-Pokal again and reach the Champions League final again. If you know that you still have three or four good years left, you try to get the most out of it every year."
Reus played for Dortmund as a youth player and returned to the club when he completed a move to Signal Iduna Park from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2012.
