Hertha newcomer Daishawn Redan turned down BVB, Leverkusen and Hoffenheim
Apparently, Daishawn Redan rejected interest from Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim to join Hertha BSC.
When Hertha BSC announced the signing of 18-year-old Daishawn Redan from Chelsea, the German capital club stated that there were plenty of suitors for the youngster - including clubs from the Bundesliga.
According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim were also interested in the young striker, but he preferred a move to Hertha.
"Hertha BSC gave me the best perspectives. The discussions with the club gave me the feeling that I can take the next step here," Daishawn Redan told Hertha's website after completing his move.
"I want to make my mark among the professionals and play in the Bundesliga. The league is strong, but I want to play and score goals. After my first season, I would like to say that I have become a better player. That's my goal," he added.
Hertha paid a reported €2.5 million fee to sign Redan from Chelsea.
