"It's already very demanding," Halstenberg said in an interview with Sportbuzzer and added:
"There's a lot of new input coming, but we'll need that this season to take another step forward."
The 27-year-old also reveals he has had a conversation with Nagelsmann in which he got to talk to the coach about his personal goals among other things.
"We talked for 13 minutes about a lot of things. I was able to say everything - what fits, what perhaps doesn't fit - without being resented. We also talked about my personal goals," Halstenberg said and added:
"Last season was successful for us and for me personally as well. But of course, you always want to improve. I'd rather keep what I've set out to do to myself, so it stays with the coach and in the team. But there's one thing I can say - the goals are higher than what I have achieved so far!"
Halstenberg made 37 appearances for RB Leipzig last season with four goals and eight assists to his name.
