Khedira will think about national team exit

Sami Khedira says he will consider his future in the national team after Germany's World Cup exit.
After Germany's disappointing World Cup exit on Wednesday, Sami Khedira won't rule out quitting the national team, he says in an interview with Bild.

The Juventus midfielder, who has made 75 international appearances, says he will have to think things through.

"I'm an emotional person, but now I need some distance and peace to try to explain the inexplicable. I understand these questions are coming now, but I have to work everything first and to find explanations. Over the last year, one has seen that I can consistently deliver top performances. Therefore, I don't want to make such a decision out of emotion or based on the two games," Khedira told Bild and added:

"As I said, it's not just that after two games everything is suddently bad if everything was good four weeks ago. I will talk to people I trust and with Jogi Löw. And then we'll see."

Khedira, 31, made his international debut in 2009.
