RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff says that a number of clubs have shown an interest in Timo Werner.
'Die Roten Bullen' are still hoping that Werner will extend his contract which runs until 2020. But if the striker decides that he won't, Mintzlaff wants to cash in on him.
"We're not behind the wheel. We can only make offers and wait. Everything else is not up to us. If Timo doesn't sign an extension, we would like to get a transfer fee. There are numerous interested parties, and international top clubs have enquired," Mintzlaff said in an interview with Sport Bild.
"The conversations with him and his advisor were and are good. I can understand that it's difficult for Timo. But you have to make decisions in life, and Timo's decision will certainly be made soon, we are convinced of that. We still hope for a contract extension," he said.
Werner has mainly been linked with Bayern München.
