RB Leipzig boss wants Timo Werner to make a decision on his future 'in the next few days'

RB Leipzig boss Markus Krösche expects Timo Werner to make a decision on his future within a few days.
RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche expects a decision to be made on Timo Werner's future 'in the next few days'.

'Die Roten Bullen' are hoping to extend Werner's contract, which runs until 2020, but Krösche claims the 23-year-old still hasn't decided if he wants to stay or not.

"We have nothing to say about that. He is with us. We've been saying the same thing for weeks, because the situation is the same. There will definitely be a decision in the next few days," Krösche said after RB Leipzig's 4-0 win over Union Berlin on Sunday, according to Kicker.

"It's Timo's decision. We have done everything as a club. We have shown him all the appreciation that a club can give," he added.

RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann said he's hopeful that the German international will stay.

"Of course we want to keep him. He's an important good player. And in my head, he's my player," Nagelsmann told Sky and continued:

"He will know what is most important for his career."

Werner scored RB Leipzig's third goal in Sunday's win at Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
