Official: Lewandowski signs new Bayern deal
Robert Lewandowski has penned a new deal with Bayern München.
Bayern München have agreed a contract extension with Robert Lewandowski, the club have announced.
The Polish international has put pen to paper on a new contract with the German champions until 2023.
"For me, Robert is the best centre-forward in the world, and he has been a cornerstone of our team for years. We are therefore very happy that he will continue to play for FC Bayern for years to come," Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said in an interview on the club's website.
After signing his new deal, Lewandowski said:
"FC Bayern has become my sporting home. We also feel very comfortable as a family in Munich. I'm convinced that we will achieve a lot in the coming years. FC Bayern is one of the three biggest clubs in the world, and we have an outstanding team. I'm proud to be part of this club."
The 31-year-old has scored 197 goals in 246 appearances for Bayern since he joined the club from Dortmund in 2014.
