Official: Schalke bring in Barcelona youngster on loan
Juan Miranda has joined Schalke 04 on a two-year loan deal from FC Barcelona.
Schalke 04 have completed the signing of FC Barcelona youngster Juan Miranda on loan, the club have announced.
The promising Spanish left-back, 19, joins the Gelsenkirchen side on a two-year loan deal.
"Juan is one of the most-talented left-backs in Spanish football right now. As a youngster, he has been a regular in Spain's U19 side and has also played for Barcelona’s first team," said Schalke coach David Wagner, as quoted by the club.
"It's amazing that we’ve signed him. We will give him the time to adjust to life here in Germany so that he can reach his full sporting potential here," he added.
Juan Miranda has made four appearances for Barcelona's first team.
