Ante Rebic is on the verge of joining AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt board member Fredi Bobic confirmed on Sunday.
According to Sky, the 25-year-old will move to Italy on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy of €30 million.
"It was his great wish to go to Italy. He's looking for a new challenge," Bobic told Sky after Sunday's 2-1 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf.
In exchange for Rebic, Frankfurt will bring André Silva to Germany on a reported two-year loan deal.
"The clubs are in agreement. If everything works out, André Silva will be a Frankfurt player tomorrow while Rebic will be in Milan," Bobic said on Sunday before going to praise Andre Silva:
"He's a great player who will bring in something completely different. We always wanted to play with two strikers."
Rebic has scored 25 goals and made 12 assists in 100 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt.
