Werder announce Bittencourt signing

Werder Bremen have landed Leonardo Bittencourt on loan from Hoffenheim.
Werder Bremen have signed Leonardo Bittencourt on a one-year loan deal from Hoffenheim, the club have announced.

Werder were already linked with Bittencourt last year, but the winger opted to join Hoffenheim from FC Köln back then.

"Leo was already our dream player last year. He's a technically strong player who can play offensively in a central position as well as on the wings. He's an experienced Bundesliga player who can lift us offensively with his qualities," Werder coach Florian Kohfeldt told the club's website.

The 25-year-old has played just one minute under new Hoffenheim coach Alfred Schreuder.
