Philippe Coutinho: Jürgen Klopp wished me good luck at Bayern

Philippe Coutinho has revealed what Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp texted him following his move to Bayern München.
After joining Bayern München from FC Barcelona on loan, Philippe Coutinho received a text message from Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp who congratulated the Brazilian international on his move to Germany.

Speaking in an interview with Sport Bild, Coutinho reveals the content of the text message and sings the praises of his former coach.

"He sent me a message and wished me the best of luck. He wrote that Bayern is a big club, that the Bundesliga is a great league and that he is very happy to see me there," Coutinho said and added:

"He's just a great coach, one of the best in the world. A real leader. I learned so much from him, especially on a mental level. He changed Liverpool. He breathed new life into the club, made it really strong again. It was an honor to work with him."

Coutinho joined Liverpool in 2013 and left the club when he joined FC Barcelona in January 2018. Klopp was appointed Liverpool manager in October 2015.
