RB Leipzig sit top of the Bundesliga after the first three league games of the season, two points ahead of reigning champions Bayern München.

However, at this point, it's a bit too early to say if 'Die Roten Bullen' will be able to take part in the race for the Bundesliga title this season, according to Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

"Basically, I think that RB Leipzig have been an enrichment for the Bundesliga since their promotion. But you can't really make a serious statement about the current season yet. That's simply not possible after three games," Rummenigge told Kicker.

"At FC Bayern, we are always interested in competition, because that is what creates tension and emotion in football. RB Leipzig will certain establish themselves at the top of the Bundesliga in the coming years and thereby also create tension," he added.

Bayern face RB Leipzig at Red Bull Arena tonight, and the German champions are approaching the game with a clear goal:

"Our goal is to go top of the table with a win," Rummenigge said.
