Joshua Kimmich has embraced the responsibility that comes with his position in Bayern München's newly established team council which also consists of Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Robert Lewandowski, Thiago Alcantara and David Alaba.

"It's nice to be part of the team council," Kimmich said in an interview with Sport Bild and added:

"I'm not going to change my behavior much because of this. I have always spoken my honest mind in the past.

"But I'm aware that I'm getting more responsibility, especially when it comes to integrating newcomers. I think that's why I'm a representative," the German international said.

The 24-year-old has made 178 appearances for Bayern with 17 goals and 41 assists to his name since he joined the club from VfB Stuttgart in 2015.
