Amine Harit: 'It's good for me to feel trusted'

Amine Harit says he needs to feel trusted to put in top performances.
Amine Harit says David Wagner's faith in him as helped him rediscover his best form at Schalke 04.

The 22-year-old had a difficult 2018/19 campaign - both on and off the pitch - but has been a difference-maker for 'The Royal Blues' since Wagner took over as coach in the summer.

"I'm a player who has to feel important. It's good for me to feel trusted," Harit said in an interview with Kicker.

Harit was described as a problem-maker last season, but Wagner has been very satisfied with the midfielder so far.

"Amine has fulfilled our expectations and lived up to our demands from the start - on the training ground, in games as well as off the pitch," he said.

Harit has scored three goals and made three assists in six appearances for Schalke this season.
