Emil Forsberg opens up on his future at RB Leipzig: 'I don't know if they want me forever'

Emil Forsberg says he might soon be too old for RB Leipzig.
RB Leipzig star Emil Forsberg says he isn't sure if the club want to keep him beyond 2022 when his current deal expires.

'Die Roten Bullen' have a very young squad, and the 27-year-old is aware he might be considered too old for the club soon.

"My agent and the club are in good talks. I have been in Leipzig for five years and feel very comfortable, as does my family. But don't forget that RB have the philosophy that players shouldn't be too old. I don't know if they want me forever. I have the quality, but maybe I'll soon be too old for RB. Anything can happen in football. Now we have a great season ahead of us," Forsberg said in an interview with Sport Bild.

Forsber, who turns 28 in October, has made five appearances for RB Leipzig this season with one goal and two assists to his name.
