Report: Bayern rejected the chance to sign Gabriel Jesus in the summer

Apparently, Bayern München were offered Gabriel Jesus as an alternative to Leroy Sané.
Bayern München turned down the chance to sign Gabriel Jesus during the summer transfer window, according to Sport Bild.

The report claims that Manchester City were willing to let the Brazilian international join Bayern for a fee below €100 million, but the German champions declined the offer.

Bayern were heavily linked with Jesus' teammate Leroy Sané during the summer, but cooled their interest in the winger when he was ruled out for around six months after suffering anterior cruciate ligament damage at the start of August.

But with Sané working on his recovery, Bayern are planning to resume talks with the winger's representatives in the coming weeks, as per Sport Bild, who claims that the German champions could potentially try to sign him again in January.

Sané, 23, is under contract with Manchester City until 2021.
