Jacob Bruun Larsen admits frustration with lack of playing time at Dortmund
Jacob Bruun Larsen admits he would like to play more at Borussia Dortmund, but won't let his frustration stop him from working hard.
After starting 16 Bundesliga games for Borussia Dortmund during the 2018/19 campaign, Jacob Bruun Larsen is yet to be named in the starting eleven this season and has been limited to just six appearances as a substitute in all competitions.
Bruun Larsen has watched BVB's last four games from the bench, and the 21-year-old admits he's frustrated when he's not playing.
"I did well and made an assist when I came on against Bayer Leverkusen. But you feel frustrated when you haven't played for a while, that's clear. All I can do keep training and working hard," Bruun Larsen told Bold.dk.
"I could come up with all sorts of excuses, but it wouldn't influence my playing time anyway, so I just have to keep going even when I'm not playing," he added.
Speaking in an interview with Danish news outlet B.T., Bruun Larsen underlines that he isn't looking to leave BVB at all despite his lack of first-team action.
"It's part of the game and nothing that I haven't experienced before," Bruun Larsen told B.T. and added:
"It's very normal, and I don't have any ambitions to leave Dortmund."
Bruun Larsen is part of the Danish Under-21 national team squad to face Northern Ireland and Finland.
