Bosz: Havertz has to decide when he wants to take the next step

Peter Bosz says it's up to Kai Havertz to decide if he feels ready to leave Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season.
Bayer Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz says it's up to Kai Havertz to decide when he feels ready to take the next step in his career.

Asked if he expects the 20-year-old to leave Leverkusen in the summer, Bosz told Sport Bild:

"Of course, I would like to keep him, just as I would have liked to keep Julian Brandt, for example. Kai is only 20 years old and can still improve. I can help him with that. But in the end, the player has to find out himself when he's ready for the next step. He has to decide that himself."

Havertz has been linked with some of the world's biggest clubs, including Bayern München, Barcelona and Real Madrid. His contract runs until 2022.
