Kevin Volland wasn't satisfied with Bayer Leverkusen's opening 20 minutes in tonight's 0-3 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt.
'Die Werkself' had a horrible start to the game and were down by two after just 17 minutes of the first half.
"Our beginning phase was just miserable. We did these things to ourselves. We have to defend better as a team. 20 minutes in and we were just running after it. It's extremely bitter," Volland said after the game, as quoted by the club.
"A 20-minute phase like this can never happen again - not at this club and not with this coach," he added.
Tonight's result means Frankfurt are seventh in the table while Leverkusen sit eighth.
