Bayern forced to settle for a draw against Augsburg
Augsburg claimed a 2-2 draw against Bayern München.
Bayern München dropped points in the Bundesliga for the second game in a row as the German champions had to settle for a 2-2 draw away from home against Augsburg.
It looked like Bayern would bounce back from their disappointing 1-2 defeat to Hoffenheim, but the Bavarians saw their lead cancelled out towards the end of the game at WWK Arena.
Marco Richter gave the home side a dream start with an early goal, but Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry turned the score around in a game that the Bavarians heavily dominated.
Despite creating numerous opportunities, Bayern didn't manage to close off the game, and with just a few minutes left, Augsburg managed to equalise through Alfred Finnbogason who was set up well by Sergio Cordova.
Elsewhere, Fortuna Düsseldorf beat Mainz 1-0, Union Berlin won 2-0 over Freiburg, Werder Bremen drew 1-1 with Hertha BSC while the match between RB Leipzig and Wolfsburg ended with a 1-1 draw as well.
