Bayern München star Niklas Süle could miss the rest of the season as well as Euro 2020 after undergoing surgery on a torn anterior cruciate ligament on Sunday.

"Süle can forget the Euros. That's all nonsense. He should focus on the next season now," Bayern München president Uli Hoeness told reporters on Monday.

However, according to Bild, Süle still believes he has a chance of playing at next year's European Championship, although it's currently looking unlikely that he will be able to feature.

As per the report, the German international will 'probably' be out for more than six months and could face a spell on the sidelines of up to 10 to 12 months.
